Phoney Bone and Lucius made a bet that whoever made the most eggs (eggs are money for them) would be the owner of Barrel Haven.  Lucius was winning at first then Phoney made a bet that he would slay a dragon.

Meanwhile, Thorn and Fone Bone are following Gran’ma Ben to get her back to the farm.  Unfortunately, there are a lot of rat-creatures in the forest.

I like this book because it is like an adventure and I like those kind of books.

This book is for a grade 3 and up because it’s long and sort of easy to read, especially for grade 4’s and up. I hope other grade 3’s like it too. When I read number one I took it home for Easter break and I read it twice.
